Camps & Special Events
We have quite a few things going on in Student Ministries outside of our normal weekly programming!
Weekend Retreat
There is something about getting out of your routine and into an environment where you separate from the normal distractions of life that allows you to focus on developing quality friendships and hear truth from God. Several times a year we want to create these kind of environments for students. One of those events is our annual Weekend Retreat. We meet together on Friday after school and spend a couple of days playing games, developing friendships, eating great food, worshipping together and hearing great teaching from God’s Word.
This will be one of the highlights of the year for students, so make sure to register ASAP!

Summer Camp
Every year our students rave about Summer Camp, and it’s easy to see why. When you combine amazing worship, powerful teaching, exciting games, and unique activities, you have a recipe for an amazing week. From the high ropes course, zip line, climbing wall, water slide, gaga ball, sand volleyball, paintball, and more, there’s never a dull moment.
Even more importantly, students have the opportunity to escape the distractions of everyday life and engage in powerful worship, practical teaching from God’s Word, make new friends, grow deeper with old friends, all while creating lifelong memories.
Spots for this amazing week fill up quickly, so be on the lookout for registration information, and make plans to be a part!
Graduate Recognition
We make a big deal of High School graduation at Sugar Hill Church. We have a special Graduate Recognition day where students are celebrated and encouraged by their church family. As a part of this special day, graduates invite their families, close friends, and their “5” to a banquet where they are further celebrated by our whole Sugar Hill Students team and the rising Senior class. At this banquet, graduates share The Plan booklets with their “5” and begin the process of receiving encouragement to thrive as they enter the post-high-school world. This event puts the exclamation point on our preparation of students to be Grounded For Life.

Pay What You Can
We never want finances to keep a student from being able to go to camp. If you need financial assistance for one of our camps, retreats, or major trips, we ask you pay all that you can and at least cover the trip’s deposit amount. Then, parents are asked to complete our confidential “Scholarship Request Form” to specify the amount of financial assistance being requested. A Sugar Hill Students team member will contact the parent to discuss payment plan options, the amount of scholarship requested, and making any arrangements for your student to be a part of the trip.
