Promotion Sunday

Promotion Sunday is an exciting day at Sugar Hill Church! We are so excited to welcome our rising 9th Grade class into High School Large Group in the Underground at 11am, and the rising 6th Grade class into Middle School Large Group at 11am in the Middle Room. 

There are quite a few differences between Kids and Student Ministries, so if your child is a rising 6th Grader, here’s what you need to know:

Students attend the Main Service during the 9:30am service hour.

We understand that some parents serve or attend a small group during that hour, so there are some students that sit towards the front center of the worship center during that time and there is a good amount of adult supervision in that area.

After the 9:30am Service, your student can go directly to the Underground for Hang Time with donuts, drinks, and plenty of games and activities.

Student programming officially starts at 11am on Sunday mornings.

During the summer, Students are in separate Middle School and High School Large Group programming, typically with Middle School in the Middle Room and High School in the Underground.

You WILL NOT need to pick up your student like you have done in Kids Ministry previously.

Students usually dismiss at approximately 12:10pm each week. You should arrange for your student to meet you somewhere when they are finished with Large Group. The main stairwell where the elevator is located (directly above the Elementary Kids Lobby) is a good place to meet your student. There are some couches and chairs there and it is a good place where other groups should not be distracted by Middle Schoolers hanging out.  We also usually have some Adult Leaders and staff hanging out in this area.
