Student Leadership
“Everything rises and falls on Leadership.”
– John Maxwell
Some people say that leaders are born and others say that they are made. We believe that both statements are true. All of us are created with gifts and abilities to lead, but those abilities will only be used if we grow them and craft them for the purpose of using them to make a difference. We want to partner with students to help them discover their full potential as leaders, and create avenues for them to use those skills.
We have developed a student leadership program to help 6th-12th grade students grow as leaders, take ownership in Family Ministries, be examples for other students, and receive resources and support to reach their full potential.
Student Leadership meets once a month on Sunday evenings from 5:00 to 7:00pm (for dates, refer to the programming calendar) for a time of training, accountability, planning, and encouragement. There are also extra student leadership trips and activities for those who meet the requirements to serve in this capacity.

Student Leadership Opportunities
We love to provide students with as many opportunities to grow as we can, especially for those students that faithfully invest in themselves through our regular Student Leadership meetings.
Every year we plan additional trips, conferences, and/or service opportunities exclusively for those leadership students. We’ve gone on week-long mission trips over spring break, hosted in-town weekend conferences with more in-depth leadership training, offer a semester-long internship program to older high school leadership students, and give them the opportunity to serve in other ministry areas in the church.
Additional details on each of these opportunities will be shared exclusively at Student Leadership meetings, so be sure you don’t miss even one!
